About Us

The American Guild of Organists is a national organization.  Our local chapter has members who represent a broad spectrum of people, some of whom are organists or pianists, some are church musicians, and many just appreciate the organ and its music.  We offer several different membership options and welcome anyone who has any interest in the organ, whether or not they play an instrument, to join our Chapter.

About our Chapter:

The Low Country Chapter of the American Guild of Organists was formed in October of 1999 and granted a charter in November of 1999.  We are in our 20TH year of existence.

Organists, choral directors and choir members and clergy are encouraged to join as full members.  Others with a general interest in sacred choral music and organ literature are most welcome to support our programs by becoming a ‘Friend of the Chapter’: ‘Friends’ receive all chapter mailings, information and invitations to all chapter events.

In addition to programs to improve the conducting and playing skills of our members, our chapter also sponsors recitals, concerts and special programs for the public.

Those who are interesting in our chapter and activities are warmly invited to contact any of our officers.  Links are provided to our programs, our concert as well as e-mail links to members of our Executive Board for more information.
